DEPOSITION OF HEAVY PARTICLES FROM A SPHERICAL CLOUD ON THE EARTH′S SURFACE. ANALYTICAL SOLUTION



Analytical solutions of the problems on deposition of particles from a spherical cloud on the earth′s surface have been obtained for two cases: the wind velocity in the ground layer of the atmosphere is invariable with height and the wind velocity follows a linear law. Analytical formulas have been suggested for calculating the surface concentration of deposited particles with an arbitrary function of their size distribution, as well as the geometrical parameters of the deposition region.
