ACOUSTIC PROBING OF UNDERWATER EJECTIONS

A numerical study was carried out to investigate interaction of a pressure wave of fi nite length with a gas–liquid zone, which is a cut of a submerged jet of a mixture of water and oil with methane bubbles in a channel. The possibility of determining the degree of jet opening and the volumetric contents of oil and gas in it from pressure waves refl ected from the boundaries of the jet is considered.
