A theoretical model of the process of moisture desorption
in evacuation of a sample of moist material is proposed.
An interrelationship between the operating conditions of
the process and the material characteristics is shown.
A new method of thermovacuum hydrometry that makes it
possible to improve the rapidity of measurements and to
significantly extend the measurement range for the
moisture content of loose materials is described.
