Using the methods of integrated cross-sections and elastic
solutions, we solve an elastico-plastic problem of bending
of a Kirchhoff inhomogeneous square plate. The elastico
-plastic properties and the effective yield stress of the
inhomogeneous plate are calculated on an electronic
computer. The computational results form the basis for a
qualitative analysis and for the conclusions made.
