The article contains computational algorithms for the parameters
of induction heating of a long ferromagnetic cylinder in
a longitudinal magnetic field. The algorithms can be used to
determine the operating conditions of heating devices rapidly
and accurately in computer-aided plastic working of metals on
the basis of numerical solutions of the heat-conduction equation
and the equation of electrodynamics.
