Numerical simulation of parachute descent along an actual
trajectory is carried out by the large-particle method.
Various models of boundary conditions are considered.
The effect of abnormally high aerodynamic heating
revealed in a numerical experiment and then confirmed
experimentally is discussed. A simple mathematical model
of this phenomenon is proposed. The influence of
the effect of abnormal heating of the stall zone under
a parachute canopy on the resistance coefficient Cpar of
the parachute is calculated.
