The behavior of the acoustic impedance at discontinuities
in stationary supersonic nonviscous gas flows has been
studied theoretically. The problem of determining
the optimum values of the acoustic impedance behind simple
and shock waves, at a tangential discontinuity, and in the
region of the emergence of a reflected shock wave onto
a jet boundary has been solved analytically.
