Interactions between temperature oscillations and other kinds
of oscillations occurring simultaneously in a heated system
are considered. It is shown that in the case of a corresponding
relationship between the frequencies of these oscillations the
interaction acquires a parametric character, as a result of
which these oscillations amplify each other. The process of
mutual amplification terminates in the establishment of
combined self-oscillations.
